I admire your diligence!

I tried pulling the head off of a 1990 Corsica. That didn't go over too well...

I prefer removing the head on my '24 Model T. Drain the radiator, run out the 15 head bolts and water inlet bolts, and that's it!

It was either, learn how to do work like this myself, or start walking. Because I cannot afford to pay mechanics.
And truth be told, I trust them about as far as I can throw them.

Sounds like an interesting project you have going on.
If I had the time and money, I'd love to do a complete rebuild of the engine in my car from the block up.

They say that necessity is the mother of invention. I like to add poverty and desperation too!
