With fortune comes fame and with fame comes fortune.
In Seque's case he had never really had a significant fortune to call his own. He lived well that was true but he certainly didn't feel like one of those mega-rich businessmen which was a good thing, Seque was what he was and what he was, was someone that did the dirty little deeds no one else could do. It would be quite false of him to act in a way that made him look as if he was trying to hide this fact about him. It had followed him through time and would likely stick with him until his dying day. The Husky had accepted this long ago.
Yet from time to time he would receive business offers that brought him out of that dirty world if only momentarily.
This was such a case. A rather well known studio was interested in putting out a piece of software designed to cater to the nostalgia crowd. It was essentially a love-letter to a very popular video game series back in the day. The studio had been busy looking for a male lead to place as the main character and they seemed to have found it in Seque. The Husky was invited to talk with the studio executives about what exactly it was he was going to be required to do.
As it turned out, Seque's involvement was relatively simple. He would be recording several hundred minutes of VA, providing some motion capture for the main character and eventually would promote the software via interviews and such. All in all it sounded like a very interesting piece of work, so different from his usual line and Seque happily accepted.
That afternoon, he was called in for a series of photo-shoots. The Husky was given a very retro suit and a replica Submachine gun. The flashes from the cameras began to roll as he aimed the weapon at some off-screen bad guy and gave his best angry face.
A tribute to one of my all-time favourite video games: Vice City. From the gameplay, the story, the writing and the design of the game it all came into place at the right time. The game itself was a love-letter to the 80s at the height of hedonism and excess. But the one thing that I loved more about the game than anything was the music. Flash FM, K-Chat, V-Rock VCPR and Wave 103 were my favourites.
Thanks must go out to Cappuccino for being able to do this for me. It's an awesome piece and I really love it. I didn't really take the story all that seriously in this one and you shouldn't either.
Enjoy!
