I absolutely love the way the hat has been torn by her horns. Did she steal the hat? Does that imply that she might have stolen the tank too?
This picture is epic and I had much fun realizing she was being shot at, and that's who she was looking at.
The wings are beautiful, you've added blast rings in both places, the lighting is fun.
I think you'd have to raise the bar by switching to 3d or animating. Love it.

This picture is ridiculously great. The more I come back and look at it, the more details on it I notice that I missed before. The bullet that looks like it's shot off a small lock of hair. The detail on broken panes of glass in the background being (presumably) broken by the shock wave of the explosion. What looks like it might be the shadows of the infantry off picture on the building. The gas discharge from the muzzle of the tank's barrel. Just dang.
With that volume of fire, and how accurate it appears to be, dont bother sitting back down, you'll catch at least a few rounds no matter what you do at this point.
Also, I'm gonna assume that either she or whoever drove the tank (Im gonna guess her) arent exactly well-trained in the art of tanking, since bringing a tank into a city is a great way to lose the tank and everything inside it. Lack of mobile terrain, slow main gun, plenty of hiding spots for AT... cities are a deathtrap to tanks.

I think that what's going on is this here:

It's basically been a problem lately any time someone even thinks of drawing a gun, much less a tank or any other vehicle that's not done "right".

Realism and "not doing things right" has nothing to do with my point. When characters and actions are involved, there are no wrong answers, only actions and results and the motivations behind them. What I was doing was extrapolating the scene through her actions and her situation, painting a picture of her through what can be seen. The tank's presence in the street would imply she stole the tank, but didnt really know what to do with it other than to roll it back home. Her standing up like that just as the thing exploded (also implying a friend, but that's not the point) implies sort of a bold intimidation thing toward some group, which either didnt work out because they're still shooting, or did and they just haven't stopped yet.
I never had a problem with anything here, far from it. I like to draw things to their reasonable conclusions and fill in their previous actions, that whole story element that makes a good piece of artwork even more interesting. Sorry to give the wrong impression, I forget how snarky I come across sometimes. Thanks for replying though!

Okay, see that would explain my first response. I can see where you're coming from now that you frame it in the context of what you wanted to convey. ^^
See that journal I linked to was what I felt was going on, because when it comes to guns and equipment some people are very unforgiving, to the point of vicious argument rather than just letting things go, compromise or understanding artistic license. I had painted your comment in the same light because it ran along the same lines of something we've all dealt with quite a bit and are kinda fed up with. I'm sorry for the assumption, but hopefully you understand where I was coming from. XD

Heh, no need to apologize, I totally understand! I know how annoying it can get, people getting all up-ons about the whole technical correctness of things, even when its not the point, so I get how what I said could come off that way. I really need to tone down the snarkiness, at least for the artists and drawings I actually enjoy. Thanks!
