It took a while for me to finish, but I truthfully got into the details at the end.
The runes on the sword are in elder futhark and say " strength perserverance hope life" in as close to a nordic alphabet as there is. (there's certain sounds that don't occur in scandanavian languages)
This very strong lady has been fighting cancer for a while now, and when she saw me working on it, she laughed and said it reminded her of her attitude when she was going into chemo. Despite the toll it takes on her body, she is still active, and has such a positive attitude on life. Luka? It was a pleasure drawing this for you. :) Keep doing what you do.

I'm actually not scandinavian: I'm pagan, and I studied Elder Futhark runes. ^^They just seemed so familiar, and didn't carry the negative associations that I have with Tarot, so it seemed a natural direction to go ^^

ah a Death Knight's sword, of course.
at first i thought it was another sword, called "Calimdor's Revenge" but it doesn't have any runes.
these are real nice details and i love when peopel can associate with a picture,i mean, the runes actually mean something, they are not just random markings.
