It wasn't the mere fact that he knew he couldn't change the past but it
was the absolute fact that he knew he had to face it. It was mistake
after mistake. Blame. It was to easy to pass from one to another, one
never taking it's title and always passing it on in an endless cycle. It
was always someone else who was at fault.

Stars heart raced no more for revenge. He was done. What did
blaming do? It wouldn't bring her back. It wouldn't bring back
the peace he was so willing to kill for. No. He wouldn't even call it
peace. It was revenge. He took his own judgement, calling it peace
when it wasn't true peace.

No more though. They needed him and he needed them. Family. No
matter how far he knew he would fall, she wouldn't have
ever blamed him. He took assurance in that fact and let it grow,
overwhelming his soul with the truth of reality that he made mistakes
but he had to take the blame for his actions and learn.

A single drop of water in large numbers could form a lake. With force,
a river can transform a landscape into something much greater if
given time. Things will not be fixed right away but he was willing to
let things take its course and grow. He was that small drop of water,
willing to flow to the lake, his pack, and make things right.

His past will no longer label him. For once, Star felt at peace."
