Try It (color version)
I don't remember doing most of this, to be entirely honest. But coloring is one of those automatic mechanisms I have and it's fairly mindless work.
In my original sketch image my main goal was to make Gen look female, but not in a pinup pose. Not every girl holding a gun is posing for a photographer. And since Scratch was all about the sexy poses and the vampness, I wanted Gen to look all business. I also gave her a more realistic figure (In RL I have very broad shoulders and wide hips. I'm rather stocky and I've always been physically strong for a short little woman) so although she's shaped like a woman she isn't shaped like a supermodel. In here, Gen is also probably somewhat shaped by her fictional life of constant fighting and survival.
This is a fancy way of saying that I tried to make this an image of a realistically proportioned woman with a gun, instead of a model posing while holding a gun.
Copic marker, colored pencil, and a bit of gelpen on 9x12 bristol board. I'll eventually put this up for sale. Not too sure when though.

The gun looks amazing, the detail in it and the way it's drawn is pretty good, the detail and effect here are magnificent, and the pose with the dramatic expression of anger and possible hidden fear that barely show is even better, I am amazed by the unique style and quality used here, great work =]
