I've always enjoyed gangsters, and the way they deal with others. So, when I was looking to have a picture of Rodent being the victim in such a situation, I was quite fortunate to come across the talented Spug (puppetcore): http://puppetcore.deviantart.com/
I immediately fell in love with her style and commissioned her to do a picture of Rodent having been caught stealing cheese from the wrong party, with the results being rather... explosive. :)
As with all the other artists I've commissioned, I recommend heading over to her gallery on Deviant Art and checking out some of her other work. You won't be disappointed.
Edit: Since submitting this artwork, I discovered that Spug also has a few pages here on FA:

Heh. That thought had crossed my mind on deciding what I wanted in the pic, but seeing as I like to display commissioned artwork, usually in the form of badges worn at conventions, having the exploses stuck up his ass probably wouldn't go over very well, considering that conventions are not 'R' rated. :)
Though personally, I'd probably enjoy the pic myself, if that were the case. ;)

*smiles* I'm glad that you liked it. Despite how much I enjoy putting Rodent into such situations, I prefer the encounters to have a hint of amusement to them, rather than being all cruel and frightening; which is why I really love how Spug had done this one.
And I couldn't agree more about mob justice. They make for some interesting and original situations. I'm still saving up for a commission of Rodent holding his breath at the bottom of a lake, wearing cement shoes. :)
Thanks for the comments.

*smiles* Indeed. Fear is a wonderful thing. It gets the heart pumping and can often be entertaining to see on others. Of course, the cause for the fear is often real, and deadly. Sometimes people survive their fear, other times they don't. By having the picture at this stage of events, it leaves it to the viewer's imagination to decide on what actually happens next. :)
Heh. I guess spitting it out all depends on how much thought Rodent gives to it. Considering that a stick of TNT will still kill him from a few feet away, it might not be instantaneous. The question would be how painful and slow he might want to risk it all being. Not to mention that it would sound much cooler on his epitaph to say he was 'blown up', as compared to 'killed in an explosion'. ;)
Thanks for the comments and yeah, I also love the expression on his face. Grasping the reality of his situation has such a wonderful effect on enhancing that look of fear.

*smiles* Thanks for the comments and the fav. I'm glad you enjoyed the pic. It was a lot of fun asking for as a commission, never sure how an artist might react to such a request. Heh.
I've never looked too deeply into the various mob organizations around the world, but I've always been intrigued by what I have learned. It makes thinking about situations like that depicted in this picture, all the more fun. ;)

ooh the World of Organized crime is the best world of them all. If you want to learn more about it, I Highly suggest you do. I myself would love to get into as a real career..i would be..the Arsonist, Cuz i love fire.
I remember one italian comedian say"Hey italians didn't start crime...we just organized it" XD

*laughs* I would make a lousy arsonist myself, as I too love fire and everyone I know, knows that I do. I'd be a prime suspect in anything suspicious taking place. Heh.
I guess my main problem is I'm generally too nice anyway, which is why I forsee myself as the victim and not the perpetrator. Being burned alive was my next choice of commissions, but fire and charred bodies seems to be rather difficult to portray properly in artwork. :)

ewww i would have to say i wouldn't really want see that. As Evil and Psychopathic as i am, i am not a big fan of gore. Blood i don't mind, but like body parts and guts all over the place not for me. Oh and Fire If anything much more beautiful on its own. Lets Rain some Fire, glowing Embers Lighting up the midnight skies. Let it burn*stares off in an almost trancelike state*.....srry i was getting into the mood...heh I have a Firy Passion for Well curtin things
Oh yes I am a totally Bitch, and not many know about my Pyromania. i don't Indulged in it like i used to...which was again not that often. I have Standards to, Would never harm the Innocent, elderly, Children...BUT if it was someone i disliked(HATED)....let them writh in dancing flames and there screams Echo in the air

Heh. While I do really enjoy gore myself, that's not the type of pic I'm looking for, despite how it might sound. I'm actually hoping to have my character encounter a rat-like fire elemental that entrances him into an embrace. Yeah, he'd be burning and in pain, but no gore. Just a pile of ashes remaining at the end.
And I agree. It's kind of hard to indulge in something like pyromania, without something bad coming out of it. So, always best to enjoy it in fantasy, for me at least.
I recall that picture when it first showed up, and still have it saved on my HD somewhere. It is one of the best shots of a fire like that.

I never understood ppl that like gore...like those idiotic saw movies...i might be tranced back to the romans and the Colosseum...I do find it odd you want your character to be burned to death? If you want to keep with the mafia Theme. I would have him walking away from a burning or exploding car, But thats just how my mind works. Wait...I think i made a mistake i thought you were the gangster but are you victim? *scratches my head*
Hehe. If I could draw, I'd definitely have asploding rat as well. :)
But when you're forced to pay for commissions, multi-scene comics tend to cost more so I have to pick and choose what to see. Plus, it's often not as easy finding artists willing to draw such scenes and do a good job at it.
