Yes. Glenco is the current producer of the Strombecker kits. I also have the Lindbergh rocket that is a quasi-copy of the cargo booster stack form the series. I'm going to convert one into the original 1948/52 von Braun version and then another into the 1955 Disney version (minor differences, but enough to show the evolution) and possibly another into the Soviet N1 super heavy lift rocket if the body scales out to a useful size.
Just checked some dimensional data on the various rockets and found that the earlier von Braun rocket was a lot bigger, nearly twice the size of the later version. So that will need scratch-building. The 1955 version works well with the kit, only needing the upper section to be re-shaped a bit. The N1's general shape isn't far off, but just enough that it will need to be scratch-built as well.
I just saw the Disney "Tomorrowland" 1950's series on DVD (Man in Space, Man and the Moon, Mars and Beyond), in fact I just saw the last one the previous night, so as soon as I saw "bottle suit" in your description, I knew. These have been released as part of the Walt Disney Treasures collections. They are really amazing, and I got my copy on Ebay. My husband (Chuck Piper) is a rocket propellant engineer (solids) as well as a pioneering amateur high power rocket builder, and I recognized and loved the details of your V2 model.
