I haven't made on in years. lol

It was mostly just to get a feel for all her pretty colors.
And I don't even care, nothing any one says will make me believe salarians do not have cute, firm butts. So you can just go eat a donut if you don't like it. Just like if I draw a male salarian his crotch won't look any different, because they clearly fertilize eggs outside the body based on all the evidence; ie no outside sex organs or visible penises. (Not to mention the concept art...) Fight me.

Renee is a descendant of the Lystheni offshoot of salarians (like her father), who are not welcome in Citadel space. (http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Lystheni) I have taken this to mean they condone practices outside the realm of what is acceptable to the rest of salarian society and by in part the rest of the Citadel races, because why not? Makes sense to me. I do what I want.

However, because she (and her father) were purchased as eggs from the slave trade and raised in inter-species families, with the proper papers and in no way hidden from the law, they are overall accepted in the rest of society without much fuss. Instead they face more discrimination as individuals raised among humans and krogan than anything else. They do not share other salarian's cultural hangups and do not participate in salarian politics or society on the species specific level.
They do not have clans and no pedigree to speak of, something highly valued in normal salarian culture, and they don't rightly care. They're happy to study their passions and and have romantic partners (though they obviously still lack sexual urges, can't change biology) and generally be quite odd as salarians go.
