Rar the Light! An epic conflict between heroic Good Guy and totally evil Bad Guy. *glares at the Evil One* No cookies for you, Mister-I-Try-To-Kill-People-Dead-With-Glowing-Purple-Tendrils.
*chuckles*
I think this piece turned out as well as I'd hoped. It's got all nifty sorts of shinies (can never have too many shinies, and I actually had to cull a couple). The image was inspired when I saw a commercial on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim (U.S.A.). There were these robots, see? And they were flying on skateboards! Shoom shoom! And these skateboards left these totally awesome trails of two-dimensional green and white light. I saw that colored light, and thought "I want that in MY picture!" So I set out making a picture that contained it.
Unfortunately, the green light was one of the things that I had to cull (a magic shield). So, um, no shininess. *shrug* Guess I'll just have to save it for the next picture, ya' know?

In a sense, yeah. I do enjoy pitting heroes against villians; the conflicts usually make for good stories. ^_^
And if you're talking about color scheme instead of the metaphorical sense, it was unintentional. The dragon character's always been blue/white/silvery, and I wanted to throw somebody darker at him but that didn't contrast blindly. Like using vivid red colors, for example. Cool black and purple against the cooler blues.
*thinks on it*
Then again, red mightn't be too bad if coupled with some other warms like yellow to go with the white...

Well thank you very much! ^_^
The background was just me fooling around with tutorials and filters. good-tutorials.com is great for things like that. So my only credit is that I can find things via Google.
I gotta learn to draw better backgounds, like walls and rooms and such. It'll be something that I'll work on once I get my fill of drawing primarily people.
