The Wasteland-Warrior “Pyron Icewing” has been captured by the "Human Alliance" during one of his missions. General “Gabriel von Richter” finally wishes to find out about “Pyron’s” silver mask and his mysterious terrible secret...
My friend Marcus had the idea of this artwork in his mind. He told me about the context, some background information and the general composition. I may not have caught his image 100%, but I’m still sure he’ll like the end result. ^__^
After all, it’s always difficult to “look into” somebody’s mind… *snickers*
And this is something like a late BIRTHDAY GIFT, too!
For this artwork I’ve used a variant of my usual cartoon style – it’s more clean and has some additional layers and effects.
Once again, I’ve posed for all characters in the artwork!

NOTE 2: Okay... one must not praise himself... but I'm really happy how Richter's reflection on the silver mask turned out! *loves*
NOTE 3: You really should use the DOWNLOAD function to watch the artwork... or it looks blurrish. Weird. Must be my browser! ^^"

Everything is perfect except the color on his face. It looks really meaty, not a would that has left a scar @n@ Maybe a darker color reaching towards brown would fit a bit more :<?
Also, yes. Right there, keep Pyron pinned down so i can make him rape me !!! @u@!! The anatomy is splendid!!!

His face has been destroyed by some acid (organic, I guess). So, it's like acid burn... sure, it's difficult to design. ^^" But it was my intention to make it look... "juicy". XD
Thanks for the suggestion, though. ^____^
AND thanks for the comment!
Nooooooo, he won't get raped... but rescued by Drakon in the next seconds. You see, he's smiling... he knows that he'll be rescued in a second!

Even without the faceplate to show his smug face, it is still possible to tell that General Von Richtor's face is aimed towards the back of Pyron's Parting. A look which augments the air of arrogant superiority that could well bring his whole supposed victory crashing down - I sincerely hope that that is the case.
Earlier posts have already indicated that Pyron is approximately 8-12 seconds away from being rescued, so I suppose that explains his own cruel smile at the fate that awaits his 'captors'.

The one thing that bugs me - the straps. They don't look too secure. They're at the back, and with the snout I don't think it would stay snug in any strenuous physical activity (like say, fighting) and it would need something near the front to keep it down, unless it's purely for decoration. Maybe it's just me, because I've been trying to design a dragon's helmet lately too.
Hm. That makes sense. Thanks for answering.
The problem is, the only way I could think of anchoring that helmet down good, would to make it more restrictive, and I think that would ruin the look for it. Funny thing...the more I think about the quote on the picture, the more I wonder - what was that guy expecting to be under there? Masks to cover damaged facial features are a typical story element. Masks are made to hide things - or maybe these guys didn't read all that much?
That question doesn't take away from the picture at all - it's still well drawn, and I still like the design and details on it.

Well, RICHTER might even be scared a little bit... but he's too arrogant to admit this. XD
But he is lacking at least two things: pity and compassion. He's a very cold human... almost as cold as Pyron!
Maybe, the humans just thought Pyron would wear this mask... to appear "cool". ^___^ Anyway, they are not very impressed... they hate the hybrids very much.

Hrhrhrhrhrrr... vielen Dank, mein Guter!
*knuddel*

Aw, oooh... this human helmet! ^__^ Thanks very much.
The "Human Alliance" was roughly inspired by the "Imperial Guard" from WARHAMMER 40.000! But the design has changed in the past time... for the better, I hope.
The silver mask is my personal favourite, hehehehehe. *hugs*

Okay.
Well, I can sympathise more with an extremist faction if what they do is necessary (seeing guys like Atom or whatever his name was, I think their extreme is kinda justified).
Again, the Botherhood of steel are kinda evil too, but they are a minor evil compared to everyone else and actually kinda good.

Ya know, I don't really know all about the "HUMAN ALLIANCE", the "CHotA" and the "RED HAZARD CREW"... and some other factions. You would have to ask
veyoun for more details - he's the creator. ^^"
But what I do know it that in the WASTELANDS... it's difficult to define "true evil" or "true good". Because they're all fighting for survival.
Though I'm very sure that ATOMIC really is just insane and evil!!! XD
The humans in this world don't like the hybrids... but on the other hand they're keeping canine-mutants and even a shark-hybrid ("Wavebreaker") in their army. It's very antithetic, is it not?
Anyway, the humans are way better organized and have lots of supplies.

Pops right in for me, but is a bigger image I can magnify - thanks for uploading that. It's like a Baxter Format comic on acid-free paper (sorry no humor meant for your character). Too many comics I've read have much hastier drawings; their inks are rough, the cleanup hasty. Here you seem to be like a draftsman, almost as if you have a T-square, compass, triangle set and protractor lock on your square sliding up and down your work paper as you hunch over it like an architect modeling a city.
But that's it… the devil (and genius) is in the details. How do you move from a single subject to place him in a world? You must pay attention to his environment, down to the purpose of every button, every gadget, every strap and buckle, every fabric, every square millimeter of the image must convey its part of the visual story and not be ignored. All these pieces have their place in the pixel jigsaw that must come together into the whole image - and these pixels are tiles which can contain more than one color of paint!
This is your craftsmanship. What level of attention to detail you take. How many square millimeters are left to chance, to simple washes of color and texture. Damned few. It seems to the eye you have to leave your mark on every last one of them. And that's MILLIONS of bits of work. More than binary bits, tiny puzzle pieces that when you assemble them, it's a Reptile artwork, none other.
And I do appreciate how
veyoun has cooperated and inspired such works out of you. Thank you both. Cazic smiles upon you.

THANKS very much for the long comment!
I'm glad you appreciate the size, hehehe. I'm not sure that I understood your comment about my line art completely... but I think you like it. ^^"
Oh, by the way: there will be a new hand inked artwork (real ink, no digital media!) in 1-2 hours! But it'll be in scraps.
I've read many comic in my own life, too. And lots of comics were great inspirations for me.
The detail level is one of my "trademarks", though THIS particular artwork doesn't have as many details as my traditional pieces. Anyway, the uniforms (human soliders and Pyron alike) have been designed by me and my friend during a looong process. I didn't come up with this design in a matter of minutes... or hours. It took long talks and designs and in time... I just know where to put each and every button or strap. ^^"
Hmmmmmm... I dunno what else to say about your sweet "analysis". ^^"
THANK YOU!!!! *big hug*
