started this before we went to vegas for EDC, but didnt have time to finish it and i've been too stressed and generally bummed out to even put the few finishing touches on it and scan it until now.

i don't really have much to say about this anymore. bet you haven't seen that face in awhile, huh? :p
as always it's SO glittery in person. and yum looks totally washed out... sigh scanners. but it didn't destroy it as bad as usual. it was really fun to bust out pen & marker again, i hope to do more soon.
... like i mentioned in our journal, if anyone wants to switch a comm over to real media i am totally down & will even send it to you! <3 i won't get into it right now but even though it isn't going to be such a huge deal now (thank fucking god), i would still love to do some more trad pieces. they look sick in person and nothing can quite replace having something actually in your hands. * 3* if not i guess i'll just have to spam squeek with a million pictures, after returning home to all the amazing art she sent us!! (ITS SO AWESOME OMFG UPLOAD IT D; )

I especially like yum*pop's out of the batch.
And I totally agree with what you said in the description here. One of the reasons I LOVE traditional work and even letters and offline crafting in general is the fact that it was made with a real media that you can enjoy with your hands and not just a screen. I am a very heavily texture/touch influenced person so I feel a helluva lot more satisfied when I am given something I can physically hold.

I love traditional work. So much more than digital. Oh man. ;-; You two are actually some of the only digital artists I really enjoy and want to get work from regularly since most digital art to me isn't as special as traditional.
I wish I could see the original glittery glitzy glory <3 These are just PERFECT. All so cute and awesome designs and details! Yum*Pop is precious! The coloring on Lolli*Rot is fantastic, ears especially and as usual THAT HAIR

i actually did it with all markers for once (well obvious exception of loads of gel pen and microns/slicci pens.. all pen and ink okay.)
usually i throw everything i can get my grubby little hands on in there but for once i sat down and was specifically like IM NOT GOING TO USE ANYTHING BUT MARKERS ON THIS, MAYBE IF I AVOID COLORED PENCIL FOR ONCE IT WONT SCAN ALL GRAINY HURR
yeah no apparently this scanner doesn't give a crap so idk. GRAINY ALL DAY. :| i need to quit being such a mega goth and be awake during the day for once so i can take pictures of these things.

the thing with bad scanners is, we don't really see how horrible it is--you do. So to me, this looks fine. To you, it looks awful. :( it kinda sucks. Especially if someone's like OH MAN THOSE PASTELS ARE GREAT
and they're neons....

lees looks pretty spot on aside from the random grainy crap all over and lack of glitter overload.. but yum, shes all pastel and lavender and minty, but all of the shading was like... poof.
and then lollirot, i dont know what happened but i worked really hard to color him right (yellow highlights, pink shading etc) especially to make it look like he doesnt have a shit on his face lol. and it just.. ate it. how does that crap even happen. rage.
the thing that will always make me the saddest is that glitter (and a lot of the time gold ink/leaf) just doesnt scan, period :C everything always looks so so so much more awesome with dem sparklies n shineys. all my creys.

Next time you open for traditional things and I have cash at the same time I will do this. Because I really love your stuff and your traditional stuff is probably mindblowingly amazing IRL. There's a handful of people I commission and trade with regularly because I just find their work to always be either what I pictured or better, or not what I pictured but so crazy cool and aaagh and you guys so far have gotten my guys down spot on. ;-;

Gold leaf/ink usually scans flat and glitter usually just turns grainy or a weird dark color. :(

lol OH HI! XD this is kind of funny because I just happened to be uploading one of those pics just now and came to this account to make sure I had typed the username correctly. And then clicked on this lol <3<3<3 now that I finally have a night off PRAISE GOD I can be on my home computer and upload a few things.
