Very very impressive! What seemed to be loose lips sink ships was rather the audio being out of sync. I think you've got it bang on now. Just practice with the lip formations and you'd be top notch!

Love the masking at the beginning, and the animation is pretty good after a long hiatus, the only thing that erks me is the "Mmm" or "way" movement on the lips, it seems a little slow compared to the voice, she does give off a husky voice, so the long drawn out wo motion would take a beat to finish. Otherwise excellent

That is really wonderful! Body movement and sync is really good and the editing really makes it pop!

Will say though that the lip movement does seem a touch stiff. It doesn't have the nuances of other details you've put in your animations so far, like the subtle toe-splay in your walk-cycle. But for your first time in 6 years it's pretty amazing! I think it's mostly down to a lack of pursing on the lips (well, lower lip) on certain words. From the front it's subtle, but from the side on it begins to look odd, like it's stuck.

Did you just use morph targets for the lip rig?

Okay, this vid made me like her even more lol! The close up on her eye and how it changes has to be one of my favorite parts. I also love the beginning where it shows just her eyes and teeth, she certainly does make a pink feline look badass, bravo!

In MY opinion, it just needs a little more practice, because some words requires more movement in the lips (example: when she says "why do I have to hear you". The lips of her actually seems to say "yah". Or so I think). But, hell... for 6 years since the last time, is perfect. The following words after "...to hear you", to the end of the song, are more accurate in the movement and is much more realistic.

I'm working on one :) I picture Kiersten to be some torn Character, mad to the bone. Not sure what she was before her terrible accident, but now she is one of the most dangerous and unregistered animats out there. She usally gets contracted by humans to do certian... jobs. Sometimes she teams up with Torumo, a wolfis mercenary, I'm planning right now.

One odd little thing that caught my eye - when she says "you want me to" at around 0;20, it kinda looks like her upper lip is clipping into her lower lip. Or something.

I dunno, just looks a bit off to me.

You're leading the way on non-creepy CG anthro art, and its very welcome! Must be goddamn tiring to take care of all the aspects of the modelling, rigging, animating and lighting though. Urgh. Hopefully you recycle some of that stuff to cut production time in future

I think you made it a little tough for yourself picking a song with such eddied vocals though. It suits the character personally great, but its difficult to align to mouth poses because of how unnatural it sounds.
You should grab some cool voice talent from this site and make a bond villain scene or something. Maybe one of those threat/demand videos villains make. It'll likely sync a lot cleaner, and then you can add synth effects afterwards

IMO that voice somehow just fits here like a damn glove. I mean it's bit of a cute voice but on a character like her, it's as deceptive as she's lethal heh.

Absolutely awesome. She needs a tongue though. Also I believe if you look around you can find an exaggerated referance sheet on the shape the mouth should be while pronouncing certain letters. It really does help! ^..~ I'll post it if I find it agian. Beautiful smooth animation otherwise.

I love these characters of yours, it seems like there's a backstory behind them, is there some sort of fiction behind them?

Love the setup and environment for this. The fish eye lens background and silhouette & emoticon face is amazing. The lip sync looked good and flowed along with the lyrics, but it seemed like it was missing something unique. Usually I tell my students to create a library of the phonetic mouth shapes, but then to also create a couple variations of each to make sure that their character doesn't uniformly use the same movements for similar phonetic patterns. It makes it look more human to have times where the mouth (even though uses the same O mouth shape for "ooo" sounds) shape is different slightly, or has a more exaggerated form of the O shape. changing things up like that makes it interesting to look at the character, more appealing.

If you want to see a character who is ridiculous with facial expressions and mouth shapes, look at Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones when she talks, she is ALL over the place (especially with her eye brows).

Anyway just my two cents. This stuff is amazing and I hope you keep making more. Thank you for showcasing this.
