How do you go about choosing weather to give them wings on their back and normal arms, or the wing/arm mix?

I guess you would naturally go with the wing/arm mix since you do so with bats already, but Its something I find hard to choose between. Nice job. (Elite Hands! XP)

All my wingy critters have wing-arms in some variation, only cause that's what the animals themselves have. Bat's, birds, etc... This guy, I love the Snowy Owl talons, I have him hands too.

Easier with birds I think since they don't have 'fingerbones' throughout the wings like bats.

Stuff like demons and dragons I usually put them on the back cause they are fantasy critters anyways.

I REALLY like this guy! I've always felt that owls are my favorite birds, and you've managed to pull off an anthro-owl really well! I like the collar too. Excellent work, Jax :)

Pretty interesting. I think this is the first owl-anthro I've ever seen before. The hand structure is particularly neat.

Came out awesome. Love the detail in it! Usually avian drawings look weird for the reasons you mentioned, but this one works so well!

it's very rare that you see an avian anthro, let alone an owl, and i'm glad to finally see one ^^ he turned out nice, and i think the extended jaw and nose ring were a nice touch!
