This piece will actually be on my back once it's all finished. It will be the area between my wings (and will be a little wider still of course). I'm planning on using leather (hardened if possible) for my large belly scales.

They're anodized aluminum. I ordered them from here. And the lace I have in this pic is just something makeshift I made by braiding ribbon (which I ended up really liking the look of actually. XD) The finished suit will use braided suede lace instead.
