Niamh and Liane had spent most of the day doing traditional tourist stuff. Sightseeing and browsing all the little shops in Solvang, California. Finally, as the sun began to set, they rested on a little planter and looked at each other's purchases. The little white seal figure that Niamh had bought was their favorite of the day. It was so pretty and soft....
A gift from my dear friend
rabbitfangs, who also wrote the cute little paragraph above and who spoils me past all deserving! We've both wanted to get art of Liane and Niamh together, since back when Niamh was still my personal character, so unless I miss my guess this has been in the works for a while now. But it's absolutely gorgeous and I love it to bits!
You've given me so many wonderful pictures! I really can't thank you enough! One of these days I'm going to have to commission something truly epic as a way to thank you!

You're very welcome, Megan! :) Of course, I get as much out of this as do you, ya know. =p
This is the one I've been so patiently waiting for. The first of many tries to get a picture of Niamh and Liane together. I commissioned 3 or 4 others, and they all fell through sooner or later, leading me to believe the venture was jinxed. Happily,
beiro came through with shining colors and broke the jinx!
I'm really happy you like it. I think he did a fantastic piece of art here! (look at those fluffy ears on Niamh... ;3) The way it's framed in a window/archway, the way the setting sun shines on the golden cobblestone tiles....just everything. And of course most especially the way Liane and Niamh are enjoying the lazy afternoon and company of a good friend.

He most certainly did. After all the time and trouble you went through to get something like this done, I was as happy to see that it had succeeded as I was to see what Beiro had drawn! He did an amazing job with it, too, I agree! I can't believe that with as long as I've been in the fandom I hadn't run across his work before now.
And he's been in the fandom for pretty much ever too. I didn't know about him till just a couple of years or less ago too, when Marmelmm wrote a journal about him and I checked him out. If you haven't seen it yet, check out his 10 page musical strip of The Eagles' Hotel California. ( here's the first pg and the rest came right after.. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5434843/ ) I think this might be my favorite thing of his that i've seen. Other than our picture, of course... ;3
Oh, I know what you mean. It's such an amazingly intricate picture, with so many small, delicate details. He really brought the whole scene to life, and you can almost feel like you're really there, and it must have taken ages to do. Rabbitfangs always commissions the most amazing artists! I just can't believe I hadn't seen any of Beiro's work before. Granted, I'm not as familiar with a lot of the artists who were active in the 90's as I ought to be, even though it was around '97/'98 when I discovered the fandom. But I'm definitely impressed!
