The Buzzard-Class Corvette is a fast escort craft / long-range scout developed by the Corvid and Aquila engineers for the old Larentia Kingdom’s Royal Fleet. The ship was quite popular as a 'hit-and-run' craft duing the Three Wars, especially among Aquila pilots flying in groups of three-to-five (a tactic that became synonomous with the Kingdom, even to this day). With its three engine mounts and light hull design, the Buzzard can out-maneuver larger ships and keep up with the smaller warp-fighters. Although carrying only limited forward-facing guns, the Buzzard can still dish out massive damage by simply out-lasting their opponents, weaving through oncoming fire until the target's hull is widdled down.
Since the days of its original military service, the Buzzard has become a favorite among freelance captains for its ability to survive (read: run from) sticky situations. What the craft lacks in weaponry and armor, it makes up for in sheer speed and maneuverability.
