I was trying to think of ways I could pay tribute to my beloved dog. He was such a character. He had the best facial expressions I've ever seen on a dog. From a big wide toothy grin to a goofy slack tongue'd stare, Nanook always knew how to make me smile or make my anger at something else subside. I don't know how I'm going to cope without him.
So in honor of him, I made this piece based on a scene from All Dogs Go to Heaven where Charlie pops out of the clouds at the end. I've never really tried to draw Nanook as a character before, but he has a lot of details. His fur on his head is more salt and peppery than the rest of him. his little whiskerdots at his muzzle were in a line like that. he wore a collar with a blue bone tag on it and his nose had a large pink stripe on it.
This doesn't begin to even scratch the surface of how much he was a part of my life, but I hope that it even makes a noticeable movement in the ache my heart feels some time soon.

I couldn't think of any words that would bring comfort, so I decided to fave this and show my support that way <3 I'm so sorry for your loss, but he had ten long wonderful years with you - from what you've said about him in your journals, to this picture, to how you are online as a person, you and your husband loved him as much as you could, and more. He couldn't have been luckier to have you two as his owners <3
I wish your dog the best in heaven...and if he ain't happy there, he can just trick his way back down to Earth with his life's clock. Unless Annabelle has put up better security on those watches and clocks...plus the threat of not being able to return there and...
Yeah, hope he's happy in the next life.

as most everyone else here has said, I'm sorry for your loss, and nanook sounds like he was one heck of a dog, also very nice tribute picture of him, you did a great job in trying to capture don bluth's style
with all that said I wish you all the best and hope that the ache in your heart dissipates soon.
*hugs*

This is very sweet- I'm sorry for your loss; it's always hard to lose a pet, especially when you've had such a bond with it. Hope you'll feel better. You'll always have the memories you shared with him, and one day, you'll both be reunited across the Rainbow Bridge. *hugs*
Nanook was loved the world over. I'll never forget the first time I saw Nanook. You had a video recording of your home and Nanook was present in the living room. You spoke affectionately about your dog, and I shall never forget the love that you had for your fuzzy angel. I am going to miss your fluffy angel, dear Trish. He was a good dog!
Nanook's spiritual presence will never leave us, as he occupies a permanent place in our hearts. It's there that we shall remember him.
Of course, Nanook is looking down upon us, hoping to score some leftover treats.
I'm sure in Heaven, doggie treats are everywhere.
*hugs*

Aww, when did this happen? :( My condolences. I remember seeing this guy on your webcam during your streams a bit back. I've lost a couple of dogs myself in the past, and you can never really get over it. But hey, better to live having known this kind of love than to never have experienced it. Rest in peace!
