A gryphon (male or female?) with it's baby, who is looking rather expectantly at its parent. "HEY stop looking noble and feed me already!". I based the baby mostly on our peacock when she was a few days old, but I liked the mondo down fluffs of eaglets so I had to use that too! I like the thought of gryphons born like pheasants, with fully formed wings! And an uncanny preference to peck at your eyes. x__o

...and I thought how you did fur was talented. o.o
I'm fully enraptured by how crisp and detailed the edges of the feathers and the detailing on the eyes are. It's so pleasant to look at; like a well-done piece of photography, I just want to drink in all the details.
Also, I wanna hug that little griphlet so much!! >.<

Now I bet you this picture could be posted to an issue of Nat Geo Magazine or another wildlife mag, and I'm sure that some readers would be FOOLED into thinking that this is an actual real photograph, such is the magniecient quality of this painting. =3
I'm very much in awe of your talent and am very honoured to be viewing your work here on FurAffinity.

Okay. Some folks, especially some of the blowhards on conceptart.org would start whining that there's no background, but I say screw that. (they'd probably also start whining that it doesn't have anything to do with Halo or Bioshock or Blizzard. I swear I'm not bitter towards that site.) There's something to be said about pieces that involve the subject and the subject ALONE, an elegance, especially in this. With the attention to detail and personality, you believe that these are living, breathing creatures. That's what this picture sets out to do, and it does. For the win.
those feathers are unbelievable. I want to reach out and ruffle them, they look so fluffy and inviting! would surely have my finger snapped in half but hey. The black background really sets this off, I would LOVE to see a higher res version or some detail shots. I want this as my desktop!!
It depends what you are going after! I prefer it because it acts like real media and I can use paper textures and smooshy colors that blend together like paint, and the watercolor tool is fabulous. Painting Photoshop feels weird to me, though its image editing tools are superior. I do all color corrections in Photoshop.
Absolutely stunning!
I think one of the reasons you're so much better than everyone else, putting aside incredible skill and practice, is because you spend so long on pieces, going over each and every little detail, a lot of people, including myself, try to go too quickly and finish before they start!
