Here Piko and I are, moving through a dungeon, saber out, looking for trouble.
This is me training in K'tan saber use, by the method my uncle R'tan prefers, which is to say I got sent to some dungeon and I am here till I fight my way out.
Piko is with me because he is always with me, given we share the same body.
It didn't take too long to discover that this is fun, though Piko is more of the mind to just watch and wonder what is around the next corner.
I should probably explain this weapon I am learning to use.
K'tan Energy sabers are easiest to think of visually like a Light saber, however the working mechanics underneath are vastly different, and can be both worse and better than a light saber depending on who's it is. The most fundamental difference is that K'tan sabers have no power source, they consist almost entirely of focusing devices and a solid state energy core that is made by the person who will own the saber. The core is made by the user with their own energy and must be made into a hyper dimensional ( more than the 3 dimensions of length width and height ) shape. What the core then does is serve as an amplifier into the focuses. When the user feeds some of their own energy into the core, it in turn funnels it and amplifies it into the focusing devices which shape it into the saber shape itself ( user energy can be magic, spirit, raitsu, fighting power etc, all are different terms for the same thing though the flavor depends on the person ). This is weaker than a Light saber in that MOST users able to make such a weapon do not have enough power to create the saber as strong as the emitted light saber in the Star Wars universe. However the user can control how much of their energy they push into the saber, and the saber keeps it stable in its shape so it is not a constant drain on one's power or focus to hold the "blade". This control allows one to have the option of stunning, instead of the obligatory dismemberment and door melting properties of a light saber. Also, being ones own energy, you cannot hurt yourself with this blade. Also... while the vast majority of people who can make and own a K'tan saber, including most K'tans themselves, would be unable to push enough power into the blade to match the overall output of a light saber, there are those who do in fact have enough power to exceed, and far exceed a light saber power. A good example would be super saijins, if you could teach one how to create the core, which is massively hard being made into a shape most people cannot even think about, plus learning to make the energy in solid state. Last, a light saber is merely a inanimate arc of nonliving energy, thus it can do only a few things, such as cut; however a K'tan saber is ones own energy shaped into a light saber arc in form, meaning that since it is ones energy one can use it for techniques, note the various interesting things you see in Bleach and the fact that those katana are also a solidified form of ones energy.
Firenor's K'tan Saber thus is made by Firenor, and its energy for the blade is Firenor's own. One should note that since Firenor is the keeper/holder/guardian/ (well there isn't a good word for it that I have found yet...) of the Core of Hyperspace, the very energy and spacial foundation and heart of all the interlinked Natures and universes we have discovered so far... his energy IS hyperspace, not just as the source (which is scarey enough if you understand the consequence of a Hilbert space) but also as the element, meaning not just that has all elements, but that all elements are derived from THAT one. Essentially this is why his rings are Blue, and his eyes are Blue. The Dragon in Firenor makes his element come out in some aspect of his physical body, such as color. His Saber energy is the exact same energy that colors his rings and eyes, thus the saber glows that intense blue color.
Because Firenor's element is the element that all other types of energy derive from, he can actually tune his saber to any element he wants, if he works at it, but its base and default is always the hyper blue base. ( Later in life he works hard to learn how to focus his energy like the shinigami in Bleach, because he likes Katana so much but that is another story ).
