So here's the finished result from the mockup I did before. The HP heart is shiny and reflective, and the actual bar is a loop of ribbon threaded through the badge itself so you can actually move it back and forth.

One thing I had to deal with was that the heart was slightly out of range of the Xyron, so the heart itself is only half-laminated. I'll have to reduce the width a little if I make another one. It was a lot of fun to make, and I think it turned out really well, but damn did it take forever.
