During Artist's Alley at Anthrocon, I came up with an idea to advertise the sale of prints from my "Book o Art".
This binder with examples of my work, had been extensively revised for Anthrocon '2012. I arranged all the pics of my characters by creation date, grouped them by year (2004-present), then presented a separate section for pics done of other people's characters, then a section for badges I've done.
With the pics of my characters, most are available as prints (they're made from .BMP versions, not the JPGs posted to FA). I simply sell them straight out of the book (for obvious reasons, the pics of other people's characters aren't sale-able). This time around, I indicate which pictures are available with a small tag (visible in the upper corner of the left-hand pic) marked with a "P".
In order to explain the significance of the little tag, I made this stand-up table card of Cynthia pointing out that available prints are marked with a yellow "P" tag like the one she's holding up. It's not terribly visible against the white tablecloth, but all the open space to the right of her center line is open on the card. This image also debuts Cyhtnia's longer ponytail hairdo.
Funny thing is, the one print I sold that day, "In Red, with Boots". didn't have the tag, as I thought it was s little too plain to garner any interest as a print.
Future cons may feature other characters if I can think of a suitably eye-catching ways to depict them. (hmm...watch people want to buy the cards themselves, heh)
