Whom you see in this painting is not Anubis, not even a close relative of him. It's Duamutef, the jackal headed of the four sons of Horus, who are mostly known as protection deities of the canopic jars. There are multiple reasons why my fursona has wings, one of which is the alikeness of the four sons and the four archangels of the old testament.
