i've always been inspired by falvie's fur technique! maybe that's it haha ^_^;; i'll admit my style sometimes reflects hers a bit too closely sometimes, that's kind of the problem with childhood idolization.. it's something i'm consciously trying to break out of.
otherwise mews curled up surrounded by their glowy psychic shield is a pretty standard pose i think, i didn't really go out of the box with that one, but i did want to draw 'em ~*IN SPACEEEE*~

ahh it wasn't intentional, i often draw mew in this kind of pose because i'm a very big fan of the mew/fetus speculation.
actually a huge inspiration for this was megatruh's backgrounds, i pretty much gawked over them and went man i wanna draw something outerspace-y and glowy haha

alright, looking at them again they're not that similar. it's just a lot of little things that add up, i believe you didn't outright copy her or anything.
sorry if i came off as a huge bitch, if you were a shitty artist i wouldn't even bother wasting my time, but i do get sad when i see people with skill and potential copying instead of doing their own thing if that makes sense. :U

NO NO man I totally understand, I can see the similarities too. Not to mention people copy Falvie left and right so it's almost expected at this point...
I totally admit that my art in general is pretty damn Falvie influenced though, I'm not going to deny that at all I pretty much stared at her art all the time and ripped off her characters wayyy back in the day HAHA it's pretty damn embarrassing, but I grew out of that. It's still probably pretty obvious that her style was a big root influence on me though, but I hope to mature into my own style, it's a.. process 6__9

psh everyone does that at some point - i used to copy/trace/rip people off left and right as a kid. it's not like you know what you're doing at a young age or that you're trying to be malicious. people really take themselves way too seriously sometimes, and worse yet is when people who aren't involved or don't draw AT ALL constantly scream "art theft!!!1" like it matters anywhere outside of this small, niche community???
