Previous • NextI had absolutely no idea what had happened...how there apparently were all of a sudden three crabs when there had just been two!
It wasn't until sometime later that I learned about exoskeletons and that crabs periodically shed theirs in order to grow bigger. It was possibly triggered by the change in water and/or size of the tank, as the female crab was put into a much larger tank than she had been in before.
