So I finally got around to finishing up the handpaw digits and getting my sister to take some pictures of me this morning. The fursuit is definitely getting there, needing only a number of minor additions and then refinements; all of the major parts are done.
I've gotten it fitting better than my prior fursuits, it stays even cooler (in part due to the short fur), and the head fits much more nicely and doesn't need a zipper or anything to put on and off, without compromising the close fit necessary to ensure that it doesnt trap warm air between my head and the interior. I'm working out how to attach the head to the body, to completely eliminate the one last pesky open seam (by open seam, I mean a seam that isn't actually attached by anything, merely overlapping as opposed to being part of the body) that exists there; I was having some issues with the neck-body seam bunching up and getting folded and whatnot while taking pictures; this is the one sufficiently non-blurry picture where it stayed well-behaved - resizing the neck and then attaching it to the body would eliminate those issues. Plus I wouldn't need to constantly worry about the possibility of the seam opening up and looking all... annoyingly opened up and 'ruining the magic' so to speak. I always internally "DX" when I see that happen, and it especially sucks since the fursuiter usually isn't aware that the open seam parted.
