for you to consider before you make another comment on howmuch someone values their hard work for your commissioned custom work of your unique character.

I feel inclined to point out that Strype's work, while it may take just as long to produce as a professional, it's not comparable to works that are valued at the industry standard. I use Strype as an example since (if I recall correctly) he put that image together or at least tried to use it to justify his overpriced commissions.

That being said, don't sell yourself short, but don't compare your art to an industry standard because it only makes you look foolish and/or snobbish.

the point of the picture is less of a "I'M JUST AS GOOD AS THESE GUYS I SHOULD CHARGE YOU BY THE THOUSANDS" and more of a "Art in the real world aint cheap, my prices are still rather modest even though it's not dime-store price point"

Can only agree, and as you said. If the price is to high. Go somewhere else. Thats daily news irl. ( oh nice house, but it's to expencive. Well then i have to look at another house or maybe further away from city). It's not that normal life problem soulution is whining. Would be fun to see ppl in a carsale go to manager and whine the new cars costs to much hehe.

While it's more than I could justify to myself for furry art, except for maybe a sketch, I think that the quality of your work merits the price point. I recently saw someone charging nearly as much, and... he's not even in the same league as you. He's pretty much the Rob Liefeld of furry art.

I think there's an argument to be made that while charging too low a price devalues custom art, at the same time, charging a price disproportionate to the quality or time involved is just as bad. But what do I know, I'm just a husky :3
