Here's all the sona's I've had over the course of my artistic ventures.
Some more favored than others.
But still, they all had something to do with my personality and traits, so that makes them part of me.
Lets see if I can list them, and I'll be going from left to right.
Henori, V.1. This little guy popped up around when I got into college. I guess I felt kinda liberated, stepping into the realm of adulthood. He represented my spontaneous and new outlook on things, stepping out of the norm and into something strange.
Oliver, the fox. Also developed in college. After a while, I began to look at other options in terms of sona, I wanted something that made sense, and looked like me. So I developed Oliver, a rather boring and dull sona, which is why I went back to Henori and did a major overhaul.
Henori the mutt. I got into fighting games when I designed him, being an avid fan of Guilty Gear, Blaz Blue, Soul Caliber, Dead or Alive, etc. He was, and is, my toughest fursona. He's headstrong, confident, and not afraid to show you the meaning of a knuckle sandwich. Kinda what I wanted to be like growing up, watching DBZ and the like.
Demon, the dragon. My first fursona, and not the first variation of him either. Demon has had many many many design overhauls, over the course of the six years I had him as my fursona. I may eventually go back to him one day, for nostalgias sake. I drew him the most, and loved him the most, but I wanted something new, and wanted to give myself a chance to move on from old habits and form something new. As of now, his horns have been broken, and is now blind, representing my blind outlook on many things, things I wish I could have seen when I was younger. Despite all this, he still maintains a youthful joyous attitude, I just cant bring myself to draw him all grim and gloomy for very long.
Marcello, the dragon. Inspired by Dragoon86 here on FA. I admired this artists style so much that I did perhaps the biggest overhaul of my style since the transition from Demon. I developed a more anime-esque style, and worked my way around it. He was a very shy, girlish character. I'm not sure why I did this. I think I did this because my watchers and I thought it was kinda adorable. I also think Marcello was a favorite among many of my watchers. He wasn't really 'me' though.
Flint, the kirin. Hoo boy, this guy. Borrowing inspiration from one of my favorite artists, Caltroplay and having a lot of help from my friend Lushyne gave birth to this sona. At first, I just said he was a dragon, and eventually I SAID he was a kirin, while he looked nothing like a kirin. Eventually I changed this, and now he sports a horn, hooves, and a horse tail. Flint represents more or less my adult outlook on life, yet still retains most of my playful demeanor. He is more or less more like me mentally, or at least I imagine him to be. I have difficulty showing this in my art. I guess that's something I'll have to work on!
All of these characters are copyright to me, and me alone!
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
