Here is the first furry world picture I took, and the final series I have done so far at AC 2012. I have just a few more to post after this, including its tunnel version. This was done by taking over 203 images and stitching them together through a program and then morphing them into the world you see here. Hope you all enjoy.

it is not a 360 lens. The lens is a canon 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 kit lens. It is a alot of work to do these actually. It require over 100 pictures to be taken, then the use of a program to partially stitch them together. After that I spend another 4-8 hours hand stitching the sky and ground it. Once that is done and the 360x180 panoramic is done I spend another ten hours in photoshop using plugins to make the worlds and then editing exposure stitching issues where lines to connect right with color, and other things. The biggest issue is fursuiters that moved and all the work I had to do with even hand painting some of the backgrounds behind them or their faces in places because cloning would not work. This picture took over 22 hours to produce while the others only took around 10-15.
If you wish to do this you need to have PS CS5, flexify, PTGui, a 15-18mm lens, and either a homemade 360x180 panoramic mount or a Ninja MKII. They are alot of work, but well worth the effort.

I tried it with an panorama I stitched together with autostitch and besides a obvious line where the image came together (including a steep step due to uneven horizon) the result was pretty good.

nope not a fish eye at all. This is a 360x180 panoramic that was warped and created in PS CS5.5. This type of photography, known as trick photography is very expensive to get into but at least it can be all done on a kit lens saving thousands right there. Thank you for the support, and I hope you like the next few pictures I am releasing soon ^^
fav'd but not just cus its cool, but because I read your comment on how this was done.
I feel the exact same way when people say "oh, thats an easy video/animation" when they are oh so wrong media is a complex and skill worthy work, that frankly deserves a little more respect.
*high five*

-hugs- i am watching you for this comment ^^ Thanks man. Alot of people think I did this with an insane lens, the only lens to do 8mm is a L-lens and that piece of glass is well over 2k USD. plus it would just give me a better fish eye effect, but at the same time make my PTGUI have a stroke when trying to stitch the image together X3
