I know the feeling. I'm recovering from a huge plummet into depression at the moment. but today was yet another fruitless search for a job -_- people always get riffed if they can't get a job within a week, but I live in an area with like 80 percent unemployment rates or something.

Nope, North Carolina in a county mostly dominated by retirees. there's a community college here too, so a lot of the kids there take a lot of the jobs to pay for their college. which makes it hard for someone like me living on a shoestring budget to even find a freakin' job ><'

No matter where you go in Florida, more than half the state is unemployed. and the entire state is the land of geriatrics!

that has to be harsh! ... you'd think some place with such large theme parks would be able to at least employ SOMEONE ><' I suppose it's hard to find any job without a college degree...

college degrees don't get you much these days...the companies aren't willing to stick there neck out to employ anyone for fear the market will dive again, raising prices, costing them inventory, and making it harder for people to buy their goods. Let alone the fact that most people aren't making enough income right now to afford their goods as it is. Add into it we're all getting leeched dry by our cars and their gas habit, and we all have more money coming out out of our pockets. Now factor in to boot that in some case, the only jobs to be had are in larger cities that may not be near you and now you have TRAVEL in play just for work. yay economics....

Well, I live about thirty minutes from the city of charlotte, but that would have my gas funds weeping ^^; even the hybrids can't do much in regards to gas prices. I've been trying to get used to walking so that i don't have to drive to any stores within five miles of my house (most of them are)

niiiice, i'm trying to save up to get another bicycle...my last one got stolen...WITH the baby seat still attached to it.
