It's a well known fact that orcas and dolphins alike are one of the top 3 huggable creatures on the planet, both giving and receiving. This in mind, it's saddened Galileo that many would sway away from his ~8ft. muscle-bound self, for such raw power can be intimidating, even when not meant to be. So by sheer force of will (and the assistance of the weight-changing runes that Eli gave him, manipulated to now change much more), he was able to mold himself to be fatter, and much more warm towards random strangers. With this new physique, he receives 82.7% more hugs.
