My two betta fish~
Vern is King Betta, while Bert is a Veil-tailed Betta.
Vern is way more active and LOVES to eat. He eagerly goes at the food and eats it fast. He seems like such a happy little guy.
But Bert hasn't been eating much. :c It's making me sad.
I wanted to paint something... so I painted my fish. I was also getting random sad feelings, so this made me feel a little better. ;-;
The text looks ugly there, but, eh, I made a mistake that I couldn't fix that's under the text. ;-; oh well.

thing is, he's new. I've had him for a couple of days now, and his water is clean and conditioned. So I changed his tank to see if that will help. I dunno yet. >_<' I think he's eating very few pellets... maybe that's just how he is. Vern just GOBBLES THEM UP. It's cute.
Did you cycle the tank before you put him in? :)

wow those are some cute bettas, I have one as well. Its a red halfmoon with light green colored scales on the sides of his body. As from him being upset it could be is that he is still getting used to the new soundings thats all. I would say keep a eye on him and make sure that he eats his fair share of food, a good way to cheer them up is with a new decorations or some blood worms, sometimes when I change the water for my betta he freaks out a little but blood worms would help him to cheer up again
I thought the blue fin (Bert?) was a teardrop at first. D': Maybe he isn't happy with his environment? I tend to lose my appetite whenever I relocate, because me and change have never seen eye to eye (especially changes in where I'm living grrr).
Been having some sad feelings myself, so I haven't really been talking with people lately. Not circumstantial though. Just a low period I think.
Anything in particular got you down?

I know it's too late for Bert (I'm really sorry, I've lost bettas too, I know how it feels) but in the future if you ever have a fish that isn't eating, try feeding it peas. You can use canned or frozen-thawed peas, just don't feed them the skin. Commercial betta food has grains that are unnatural and indigestible for the fish, while peas are a bit easier to digest and help to move things along. In fact when I had my bettas, I set up a feeding schedule where one day a week they got nothing but a half a pea each. This gave their digestive system a break (in the wild, they do not eat every day), and help to keep things regular.
