
Here is what I did since
Brawl was doing NHL mascots. I decided to start off by doing mascots of NCAA Division 1 universities, and found this one from Homewood, Ala., Spike. I did practice on shading and added a shadow to make him stand out. I do rate this as a 5.8/6, but it was amazing that I was able to finish within a month. I thought I did not do well on the knees, but from a distance, they're great! At first, I was going to do a Black/white doodle him using only No. 2 pencil, but at the last moment, added coloured pencil to add more definition.
He has his own site that I used as a ref sheet to draw him. There are many more pictures of him there too. (Though I think that my draw of him is better than the costume itself.) --> http://www4.samford.edu/spike/
