And oh god isn't it so goddamn horribly true about the food in water? Fuck, when there was a sun canure I had to take care of he would IMMEDIATELY investigate his fresh water any time it was put in his cage. Then IMMEDIATELY either poop or put food in it, usually food. It had to be cleaned multiple times a day (which isn't too bad of an idea in general, but I mean like 3+ times, ugh)
he was a butt, would just go sssqqqqquuaaaaawkrsfdg if he didn't get treats while another bird was getting it. Even if he already got some.

I thought Grease was the word..... *chuckles* BUt seriously, I think you did a good job on a lot of these avians! Especially the gryphon ones!
Dont be so hard on yourself! I think a lot of them came out wonderfully! If you feel they came out bad, just keep practicing! But I have to say, they still look good to me!
