When was the last Trans Negative art you saw?

Err... I think I would say every single "chicks with dicks" porn site on the entire Internet, and every single one of the dozens of images that portray "shemales" and "trannies" as fetish objects first, or as something appealingly sleazy and transgressive -- which really suck to look at when you're trans and trying to get through life with some self-respect, and the images of transpeople as "exotic" sluts severely outnumber those of transpeople doing normal things like shopping, playing ball, snuggling, etc. instead of, say, sticking ice cream cones up their asses. ;P

And it's not that there's the faintest thing wrong with being a slut or sticking frozen desserts into the person orifice of your choice. It's that there is much, much more to being trans than that, and it's very frustrating when you almost never get to see it. It's negative for the same reason it's negative if all the black characters on a show are criminals, or all the women are ignorant ditzes.

Or all furrys are pedo's?

No worries, dude, it's hard to realize this stuff on your own when you're not exposed to it every day. Hey, I'm from small-town Midwest USA, I used to have NO clue what to do with transpeople. I didn't think we had any in Ohio. :D

Oddly enough, I now revel in the times I get misgendered. It's fun to confuse cis folk! :D

The difficult thing is that people will misgender regular women too, yeah. It's even worse if you know they're trans, 'cause then you're like OH SNAP I SAID THE WRONG PRONOUN FUCK and you don't know if you should appologize or if that would just rub it in that you said the wrong thing when you're not even sure they noticed and they don't make any reaction and they'd rather just move on and forget it.
