How to color body fur. D: It's like... MEH. v __v

Well that all depends on the style you wanna go for :D You seem to use a more painterly style (which is beautiful btw), but I'd be happy to show you how I do it. It's really simple:

1) Base colours - I don't have any white space on my characters
2) Use tones and shadows of different colours to the bases when shading. E.g: white fur? Shade in blue c: I typically use that or purple, but of course pay attention to light sources / time of day as these affect choices!
3) Don't be afraid to tint an image 8D Done shading? Still not looking -part- of the picture? Block fill over the top of the character in the colour you want a shade to be, then adjust the layer to something like multiply.
