well the easiest place to start would be to just look for some photo references of archers. For starters, your body always faces sideways from where you're aiming the bow, like this http://poconoshooting.com/longbow/DSC00028.JPG
don't forget about the arrow rest - when you've got wood and feathers zooming really fast, you really don't want to be putting your thumb anywhere near that
also the head of the arrow is pretty close to the bow as if it was ready to be fired, yet the bow string is perfectly straight. Should either make the arrow stick out a lot more (since it isn't pulled back), or change the bowstring so it's pulled back all the way.
I'm not sure if the purple fingers are part of the gloves or just the color of the fur, but if it's just fur then those fingers pulling back the string should REALLY have some sort of protection on - pulling back bowstrings with that much force WILL hurt like a bitch if you don't have gloves or something on!
hope that helps!

It's awesome , just the arrow one the left corner should looks bigger and aligned on the perspective of the two extended finger. here it give the impression that the left character don't aim correctly.Otherwise it's gorgeous , since your style is more pastel with diffused light I can't really help you technicaly it's more close to anime than mine, I usualy use strong contrast of light and shade .Great work again!
I generally start directly with colors after I do a quick sketches of the subject .
