You could test it. :P Put your finger by the eye and see if he shuts it out of fear of it getting poked.

Poking(Pointing, ect.) doesn't always work. XD
My rats, dogs, and chickens are used to having eye boogies cleaned and such and they don't even flinch in the slightest when I go to get a tissue to clean.

He looks like he has one normal ear and one dumbo ear..does that even happen?

Nah that's just how I was holding him. He's dumbo. xD I don't know if that could happen!

Nope, it couldn't. Dumbo either expresses itself or it doesn't. You can get 'bad' dumbos where the ears aren't quite to standard, and 'bad' top ears who have what are called 'hat ears' that look a little dumbo-ish.

hello my heterochromian brethren.

I have a rat who has very clear membranes over the eyes, so if you see them at certain angles, it's like a glass bubble, not a black blob like rat eyes usually look like. Maybe all rats are like this, I don't know... x3 But, sometimes one of the eyes fills up with red, and then the clear glass bubble part is red! I've asked around and no one's quite sure what it means...and I can't get a good photo of it. x3

Not sure...

I mean-- if you look at, say, a cat's eye, it is like you described. A clear glass dome over a flat colored bit. Perhaps rats eyes are the same.

Oh yeah, you're right... xD Although, it's still weird that it sometimes fills with red. ...Maybe she needs that Vaseline type stuff they put on rat's eyes when they are inflamed. D:
