
I've been fascinated by the style for years and never quite got the hang of it. Here's an attempt I painted on my own arm between customers at an event I was face-painting for.

When you photograph these, you should get some shots at different angles for us to really understand them. Cylindrical objects are hard to perceive in two dimensions. That said, it's hard to photograph oneself...

Sadly, while a random person drawing on themselves with sharpies in the middle of a hotel ranges from peculiar and ponderous to playful and potentially provocative...at an event where you're supposed to be painting faces it can make you look distracted and generally tells people that there's little demand for your work.
Which is why we have two people there so one person can be chatting it up and pulling people in. Also the best advertising at events like that is an army of kids running around with full face makeup of sharks shoop-da-wooping...or their favorite super hero. We usually have about 40 4' super heroes running around by noon drumming up business at this event.
