Actually, I have used my Fakemon in RPs and stories involving Pokémon because the vast majority of my characters are Pokémon (that is changing, albeit, slowly), and I hate mixing genres--like Digimon in the same outfit as Pokémon. Plus I like expressing my creativity by the creation of Fakemon. Oh--and I have intentions of writing a novel (or long story) about Swifti and the Articeon race as a different interstellar race, not as a Pokémon species.

So in some degree I have to disagree with you, though the whoring out of Fakemon is rather annoying.

Well fakes just pull out of the fandom. You know there's more of a creativity factor involved when something is created on its own merit, y'know.

Taking ripped sprites from pokémon games and then applying minimal effort and edits and then expecting a billion praises from it.

They are a good 70% of the filth that clogs up a certain forum I frequent.

I havnet had much contact with them in pokemon, but a game I play Phantasy Star Universe, is plagued by people that do screencap comics with no imagination and they overwhelm the promising artists that do their best to actually draw comics but in the end get not as much attention, I hate those guys @.@

Most Fakemon I don't like, but there is one guy at SPP who does them on the side. His drawings are mediocre, but he has some nifty ideas.

I can respect the creativity of something, but its like someone is still leeching attention off of it being a fakemon... Fakemons would not last in a real artistic community.

Five bloody threads on SPPf on the first page of it... I am quite tempted to post part of this on there...
