The Barmaid and The Woodcutter
(PRESS F5 if the crop at the bottom of the picture is still sloppy. I fixed it. XP)
Ollathair is a woodcutter/ranger, while his wife, Elfwid, runs "The Father's Arm Inn". Ollathair and Elfwid began as roleplay characters, who eventually developed a story of their own. Ollathair has a fragment of The Dagda's soul, while his son has a fragment of Ogma's soul. These fragments allow them to perform extraordinary feats (well, Clancy will one day, when he's old enough. x3). However, Ollathair and Elfwid were not meant to copulate and produce Clancy, according to the sages at Murias, and during her pregnancy Elfwid falls deathly ill and is put into a magical 'coma' of sorts, to alllow the baby to grow unimpeded. The sages inform Ollathair that his wife may not survive the birth, and when they wake her she dies shortly after giving birth to Clancy. A few weeks after Elfwid's death, Ollthair experiences his awakening (the point at which the mortal half of the soul becomes aware of the immortal half of the soul residing within) by bedding Ròs (old picture of her here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4132212/ ) , who houses a fragment of the soul of "The Morrigan". Ollathair has a hard time accepting his duties, his true nature, and his identity. He loves his son very much, but at times, he wishes he'd never met Elfwid, so that even if he had never loved her, she would still live on.
So, I suppose this picture of an ideal that Ollathair would like to have as a reality--and generally when I RP with the two, she's still alive. 'Cuz, I love her to bits. x3
Obviously, this isn't my best work as of late, but it was a pretty speedy piece (about an hour and a half) so I wasn't shooting for perfection. His hands are way off. Blah. Any critiques are welcome, if you'd like to give them, feel free.
