Thanks so much! I use references often, but not really direct reference. More like getting ideas from different stock photography and my own snapshots. For instance, the pose reference photo for this painting ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8263911/ ) was this photo ( http://critteristic.com/wp-content/.....ful-cats-1.jpg ), but as you can see it's not a direct reference. When I had to (like for the raised arm of the female character) I took a snapshot of either myself or my boyfriend to make sure it looked right. Hope that makes sense!

Oh that is awesome to know! You're so talented with anatomy and poses. I hope one day I am as good as you are with coming up with dynamic pieces like this! Everything you draw seems to have so much movement, but it is always in a way that looks completely natural. You totally inspire me!

What I love about your pieces like this is it's quite similar to what I aim for someday, a lot of people cartoonize furry art but my primary style is kinda more realistic anatomy with more detail like this, but of course I'm nowhere near this level yet xD But you have inspired me so much c:
