That's pretty much it! The texture also has a lot to do with how thick of chunks you are using. Smaller chunks seem to make a pretty fluffy look and bigger chunks make it look a little clumpy and choppy

The tool they are using is essentially a needle with the eye part cut in half. "hair punch needle"
