I'm in love with this girl. To the point where I don't think she'll be a future breeder - or if she is, she'll only have one or two litters - and I'll have to find a special guy to go with her. She is adorable, and such a sweetie pie.
I'm still debating on names though. Thank you to all those who commented yesterday with suggestions. She's starting to develop her personality a bit more. She's curious, friendly, and is a love-bug. She stayed curled in my fingers like this, even tried to nap for a few minutes. She licked my finger to death and then cleaned herself.

Aww. Yeah, I have two pet-store bought rats right now. The girl is skiddish. The male was a rescue (i didn't buy him..he came with a free ball python...)..he came to me all skin and bones because, since the BP didn't eat him, the guy just fed him crackers and bread for a few weeks. When I took them both, I looked at the rat and realized that there was no way in hell he would ever be snake food. Poor guy was not just super thin, but he was terrorfied. He would scream at you and death roll. I finally got him used to me and now he's just a big ol' squishy lovebug. He doesn't like anyone else though...but he does love his female rats. He is super cute. I'm glad I saved him..
I got them from the petshop before I really knew the kind of places petshops get their stock. They've basically been on meds since I got them because of resp issues. Hoping they'll finally be over it with their latest course of antibiotics. But yeah, I'll probs resist petshop rats from now on.. though I feel really bad as it's not their fault how they started in life. Doesn't help there's only one breeder in Ireland and Northern Ireland. D:
