I did a little write up, as was the thing to do for these persona commissions:
"1. Soviet Charizard (lawful neutral)- This character came into being around 1999. At the time I was a huge gamer, having an SNES, PSX, Gameboy and PC and playing games like Warcraft II and Fallout. I eventually got my hands on Command & Conquer: Red Alert and Pokemon Red, one from a friend when you could still lend out PC games and the other as a gift from my father. I played the hell out of both games and when I got on to the internet and, more specifically, Yahoo! Chat I had to set on giving myself a moniker. I decided since I liked playing the Soviets in Red Alert and my favourite pokemon was Charizard I would use Soviet_Charizard as my handle. I hanged out with a bunch of like minded individuals who were interested in anime like DBZ, Pokemon, Digimon and Evangelion. Eventually I got nicknamed 'Sovy' for shorthand which eventually leads me to...
2. Sovy Kurosei (true neutral)- It was about 2000 I changed the character around a bit to be less like a Charizard and more like a biped dragon. I was getting older and Pokemon was getting pretty stale at around this time. I roleplayed a bit as this character, particularly based around Slayers and DBZ with friends. Eventually we drifted off our own separate ways when I got hooked on Nationstates. I ended up creating a nation of dragon people lead by 'Sovy Kurosei' and roleplayed them on a forum. Eventually the official NS forums couldn't take the server load so the group moved to an off site forum where we continued our roleplaying for years. To this day I still talk to and roleplay with friends from that board. Around 2001 I found the furry community but didn't get really involved with it until 2008, 2009 when I went to meets in real life.
3. Sovy Kurosei (true neutral)- In 2009 I was browsing through some old art done by Aido Rakaen (Who is the artist at Johnny Wander) and Jennadelle when I thought "Gosh, fuzzy dragon things are cute. I want one now." Which I went and drew a few test characters and eventually settled on an unsaturated purple one. I still called him a dragon but when I showed it to a friend she commented that my dragons are a lot like coyotes. Which is where I got the coyote dragon species name from. I give artists a lot of free reign on his fur so there are a couple variants of him out there.
None of these three characters have any kind of in-character history since they were supposed to represent my neckbeard fatass on the internet. There isn't any deep meaning when I switched to a new online persona. The second time around was I was getting frustrated over the years with drawing wings (and not wanting to subject artists to having to draw them) that I was open to a new character but didn't know what or whom until I looked through some online galleries."
