What lies between two worlds, where two realities are mirrored is but death itself.
This began as an exercize in atmospheric effects...trying to nail down lightning and storms in the gasses of a planet's atmosphere. Eventually it turned into this...a mirrored image with death's head on the centerline. Seemed to fit because of the way the picture came together.

I used to have a computer program that made those things. You just imported a picture, and it made it for you. Don't remember what it was called though :|
Anyway, this is awesome. I feel like I should be seeing something above the skull... looks sorta like an angel holding two lights.
And. Your avatar wins the internets :D

Heh, I do all of this from scratch in Photoshop CS3. Start with a black background, add noise and change levels for stars, make planets using spherize tools, etc... it's a long process really. And the skull was done by dodge/burn. :P Kinda tough since I was looking at a picture of a skull in a magazine to do it.
Hehehe, and that angel thing is actually a byproduct of horizontally imposing the layer on itself... you get a mirror effect. I should've blurred it, but hey, it adds to the picture I guess. :P

^^; Originally it was only planets on the right...the ones on the left as a mirror came about from me being bored with the lack of symmetry. But the way that line got there was from a fractal I generated and layered over the planet. My process is complex and long... but it seems to work for atmosphere and lights. XD;
