tesconwhitepaw once said that my characters looked statuesque, which is cool in one sense, but leaves me too specialized. So, I've been studying and practicing the body language of both humans and cats. Combine the two and you get emotive furries!I did one of these with Zen a long time ago, but I've gotten a bit better since. Ditching the grid for larger, freer sketches was helpful too, I think. It allowed for larger depictions with a little more expression from the neck and shoulders. I also left them unlabeled, in hopes that their emotions would be self-evident.
