Photography of our special day. We got married last day 5th, a beautiful Saturday in a very special place, the Magdalena palace in Santander, Spain, built in 1909 for the royal family. The day was plenty of joy, with a lot of our friends and family supporting us and giving us their love and carefully trying to make us even happier.
After the ceremony we celebrated a dinner in the gardens of Villa Amelia, a colonial house with a wide garden arranged for weddings and other celebrations, with centenary trees, small pool, really nice food (and three desserts including a chocolate fountain!), and of course the ever-neccessary all-night free drinks at the bar . We spanish are hard-to-beat drinkers.
As you see my wedding gown was not the typical white one, lol. I fell in love with this design even if it was absolutely out of the rule for brides. It is inspired in the "Monarca" butterfly (Danaus plexippus), and was developed by the spanish fashion designer Bibian Blue, famous for her corsets and gothic clothing. I am so happy that I decided to use this dress as my bridal gown... it was so very special... and the most important thing was to be able to suprise my fiancee so much with it . Anyway, there is a long story along with this dress, but I keep the secrets for my own
As I said, it was a day full of joy, having a great time with so many loved people, and such good memories to remember.
I may post some more photos of the wedding when I receive them from one of the photographers and from other friends.

Absolute first response on seeing that photo: wow, what an absolutely gorgeous wedding dress. :) That's such a beautiful and original design, and what a lovely way to get married.
Your guy looks like a good type too. I'm sure you'll hang onto him and keep him well disciplined. ;)

*laughs* Part of the wedding vows, we be together as long as there is rum and chocolate in the house.. so on the model cutter sailing ship we had at the reception, some chocolate coins, tiny bottle of rum and a machined cannon. And as I look up to it, I see it's collected some booty of Indian gold and a friesian horse.. so yeah, we had fun, the timing of the wedding was sorta forced on us, so decided to damn with tradition, it's going to be our day and heck with the rest
