I've had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on my mind recently, since I've been watching the 2003 cartoon and the 2012 cartoon will come out in a few months. When I was a kid, I was totally obsessed with the franchise. I loved the 1987 show, the live action movies, the video games, and as a spoiled brat I had a shit ton of merchandise.
...Anyway, I realized that I hadn't made an honest effort to draw a Ninja Turtle since my age was in the single digits. So here's my favorite turtle: Michelangelo! He's a party dude. I know the picture has a lot of problems, but I just wanted to do it quickly and for fun. :D

I always did like the campy 80's/90's cartoon over the newer one. Not everything needs a darker and edgier reboot. The sheer concept of a word salad title like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is so ridiculous it just works better when it doesn't try to take its self too seriously. Even the original comic which was supposedly dark and edgy was more a parody of the dark and edgy style of Frank Miller than anything genuinely gritty.
Yay! It looks like a Chibi Michelangelo.
When I was younger, I use to play the TMNT game on the SNES. You know the one: Turtles in Time. I use to pick Michelangelo or Leonardo, and my friend would pick Raphael or Donatello. We played that game a lot. Unfortunately, I never beat the game... That game was hard later on into it.

I was listening to the OST of Turtles in Time while drawing this, actually! But yeah, the game is hard. I think I remember giving up a lot around the "Prehistoric Turtlesaurus" stage, because the game was getting more difficult and I would get kinda bored, haha. Great game, though! :D
