I've always loved the Marvel comics "Three-point landing" especially with the recent attention it's gotten with "The Avengers" and "The Amazing Spider-Man". BoomerRoo (or just "Boomer") is an alien known as a Jarellan: he's from a high-gravity, very primitive world, chock-full of dinosaur-like creatures. He picked up and grew fond of Earth-based Neo-Paganism and is a bit of a traveling priest. He's also quite good at spell craft and ritual.
